The Golden Rod Community Hall

The hall is suitable for a variety of events including weddings, birthday parties, receptions, daytime club meetings, private functions, conferences, games nights, pub nights, and dances.

Located west of Airdrie on the corner of highways 567 and 772.

Accessibility

The hall has one room, a kitchen, toilets and a front entrance for hanging coats. The hall is wheelchair accessible by means of a side entrance and is equipped with facilities for those with special needs.

Pets are not allowed in the building. Certified service animals are welcome.

There is on-site parking for approximately 45 cars.

118 people in chairs or 110 people in a dinner configuration

Tables available with rental: 
30 rectangular tables (30″x72”)

117 restaurant style stacking chairs

The Kitchen


Golden Rod Hall has a certified commercial kitchen with:
* Household-sized refrigerator with pull out freezer drawer
* A two door pop cooler
* A five burner gas stove and oven
* Stainless steel counter top
* A three sink dishwashing set up
* Microwave and coffee makers

Reheating food and closed oven cooking is permitted.  NO deep fryer or cooking that produces “grease laden vapours” is not permitted.

Rental of the hall includes access to the kitchen only.  No access to cupboards, dishes, or kitchen wares.  Renter must bring all accessories, such as tableware, cooking items, and linens.

Rental Fees:

* The hall is booked on a first paid basis.
* Rentals are secured with a rental deposit at time of booking and remaining payment is due no later than two weeks before rental
* A Damage/Security deposit of $500 is required for all bookings.
* Payment may be made by cash, cheque, money order, or bank draft.  No credit card or eTransfer payments accepted.
* Hourly rate is not always available
* Hourly rate is not available on Saturdays and Sundays 
* Rental time includes set-up and clean-up time.
* No GST charged

Cleaning is the responsibility of the Renter:

* Cleaning supplies and equipment are provided.
* All tables and chairs must be wiped down
* Chairs returned to storage and stacked according to instructions
* Tables returned to storage and stacked according to instructions
* Decorations removed (no glitter, confetti, open flame candles)
* All garbage and recycling must be removed from property. 
* Kitchen cleaned – fridge, stove, sink and counters washed
* Floors swept and any spills mopped

Not included in the rental:

* Liquor License (responsibility of the renter)
* Party Alcohol Liability Insurance with Golden Rod Hall listed as an added insured (responsibility of the renter)
* Catering
* Staff
* Set-up and take-down of tables, chairs
* Linens for kitchen, tables, and chairs
* Cleaning

Other Information:

* Pets are not allowed in the building
* No stags or stagettes
* Renter must be over 25 years of age to rent the hall
* The hall supplies paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags with the rental.  All garbage must be removed at the end of the rental time.
